libcookai is library for Massive Multiplayer Online Games (MMOGs).
It divides the server ability in Online Games to the connected client nodes.
Any game developer can provide Online Games without Servers.
Great cost starts maintenance and management of Online Game Servers.
Then, performing maintenance and management as a volunteer is accompanied by difficulty.
If Online Game can play without Game Server, It becomes unnecessary to consider difficulties of server installation.
libcookai can make it.
libcookai is implementation of Zoned Federation Model (ZFM).
ZFM is technology of divide the server ability in Online Games.
ZFM contains of three technique.
- First is Zoning.
Zoning is framework of partitioning whole Global Status Data (GSD) into several Zones.
- Second is Distributed Hash Table (DHT).
DHT is efficient look-up technology on Peer-to-Peer overlay network.
ZFM use DHT for rendezvous point of Zone and backup storage of GSD.
- Therd is Zoned Federation.
Zoned Federation procedure of joining to a Zone, and leaving from the Zone and rule of managing Zone.
